Im beyond glad that I found this post on YouTube.com because I definitely missed the live performance on E!. And exactly as I predicted Holliday looks desperate and sad. And it wasn't even her best performance of this song.. all I can hear is AND YOU AND YOU ugh shush ho!! I mean damn Jen you let E! play the shit out your ass. I mean the place you on top of what looks like an abandoned building... half a block away from the red carpet and was like bitch sing.
The saddest moment had to be when she turns to the red carpet... and belts out I'm not goin... you sure weren't going cause you didn't have a ticket or an invite to the show (Damn doesnt that sound familiar). This was probably the final nail in that coffin of her career.
Hopefully she made it off that building to see a real performance. JHud, Beyonce, Anika Noni Rose (my favorite), and Keith Robinson (baby!! could get it) were the only part of that entire show that was alive. The 4 gave a great perfomance staged by Bill Condon himself. I was happy to see JHud force Beyonce to finally sing Listen. Because we all know that Grammy performance was a snooze. And all of that for them to loose to the lesbo and her boring earth song... had me thinking back to the 86 Oscars when Color Purple was dissed as well... Oh well I guess I will be appeased with the 2 awards we were given.
Overall the show was a bore... if it wasn't for DVR, I would have missed JHud's acceptance speech because me and my friend had both dozed off after Eddie lost. But many congrats to JHud and Forrest for winning!!
Holiday cheer.

wow i didnt even know she was going to do this... but you are right she looks very desperate for attention and acknowledgement... i feel bad for her.
she looks like she is singing for dinner.... what a sad way to go out
lmbo...I tuned out after Eddie too. I cut the t.v. off. Yeah, I'm over Holiday too..it's like enough already.
What the hell was she thinking? She was over-pronouncing words and taking breaths. I wish she would just let go of the torch and let Jennifer Hudson have her moment.
Jennifer Holliday is the reason Jennifer Hudson is even a blip on your DVR today. She paved the way with the evolution of the Effie character and made bein' a gifted big girl worth watching. Her performance wasn't an act of desperation - and if anyone watched the entire Jen Holliday coverage on E, they would know that she paid complete homage to J-Hud and wished her the best...but she is justified in demanding that her contribution be acknowledged. Yes, E could have done a better job at the venue for the performance (singing with 40 mph winds blowin' down your throat ain't cute) but Jen Holliday proved that, even 25 years J-Hud's senior, she can still sing the song better than anyone can ever aspire to and lest we forget that she is a Tony and Grammy Award winner..not some pee-on. Rather than debate this further let us sit back and see where J-Hud is following her mega 12-month run. The saddest moment wasn't Jennifer Holliday's performance on a roof, but the lack of historical reference and reverence by today's youth for folks who have, in a much more unforgiving and unaccepting time, made it possible for reality show cast-offs to make it BIG without paying their dues.
I think how she acknowledged Jen Holliday as an after thought was so wrong.

well I think if u win an Oscar at 25 for a first time role, the excitement of the moment would make if difficult to remember to pay everyone homage, so cut j-hud some slack, she said thank you to the woman so let it along
"Jennifer Holliday is the reason Jennifer Hudson is even a blip on your DVR today"
I have to disagree. Jennifer Hudson's singing ability and voice are the reason that she is a blip on Reddmann's DVR. I don't want to say that Jennifer Hudson should not "pay homage" to Jennifer Holliday, but she DOES NOT owe all of her accomplishments and achievements to Jennifer Holliday.
Sorry Reddman, I didn' meant to use your comments section as an argument board.
